These vigorous, fast-growing hybrids have produced really nice flowers! Each flower spike produces 2-4 3" flowers that look almost identical to E. brassavolae except they are bluish-purple. Flowers late summer. Because these plants were raised from seeds and are not mericloned, the flowers will vary slightly from plant to plant.

The color is definitely influenced by C patrocinii, I would describe it as bluish purple. Flower spikes develop in the fall-winter and carry 1-3 silver quarter-sized creamy yellow flowers. The lip is very dark brick-red and is hairy.

Known as the Beautiful Coelogyne, this species blooms sequentially with 1 to 3 flowers per spike. The musky scented flowers arise out of the center of a new pseudobulb growth and can bloom at any time of the year but most often in spring and summer. The flowers are about 6 cm in diameter. The lip is white with orange-brown or dark brown spots. The large side lobes of the lip are brown or red and curve up to form a tube that almost completely covers the spine.
Care: Cool to hot temps, indirect-bright indirect light, regular year-round watering and light feeding. The warmer the growing conditions, the more often it should be watered.

Dendrochilums are often called 'grass orchids' for their leaves or 'fox tail orchids' for their beautiful displays of long, many-flowered spikes. D steophyllum is a medium-small (6" tall) sized Dendrochilum with spikes that will carry 40-50 white flowers. They tend to bloom multiple times a year, summer-winter.Care: Cool-warm temps, indirect light, and regular watering, and light feeding year-round.
This is one of the bigger-flowered Dendrochilum species. Each long, gracefully arching inflorescence produce up to 30 flowers each. This plant is quite a site when it reaches even close to specimen size when blooming! Generally blooms late winter-spring.

This new cross is another great plant for beginning orchid growers! This is a compact reed stem-type epidendrum that produces nickel-sized, purplish-pink flowers. Reed stem Epidendrums are a wonderful addition to any orchid collection because of their ease of growing, their very long flowering cycle, and their massive variety of colors. Produces a flower spike at the top of new growths which continues to elongate and produce flowers sequentially from bottom to top over a period of months!We're not quite sure how tall these plants will get but they seem to be on the "compact" size for reed stem Epis. They have already flowered at less than 18" tall.
Care: Very easy to grow. Cool-Warm temps,regular watering and light feeding spring-summer with a drier rest period and no food in the winter. Essentially the same as any other reed stem epi.

These plants should bloom in 12-18 months if cared for properly.The parent flowers are pictured, as we have not seen blooms yet with this cross of 2 interesting species. Epi coronatum is a medium-sized plant with large (for an Epi, 1.5+") creamy white, fragrant flowers. Enc cordigera is a medium-sized plant with 3" dark purple fragrant flowers. We have no idea what the flowers will look like but are hoping for rather large, fragrant flowers on a fairly compact plant.The plant looks like a reed stem epidendrum but with very fleshy, almost succulent leaves. Growing conditions: intermediate-warm temps, bright indirect light, regular watering, and light feeding throughout the growing season (spring-fall) with a slightly dry rest period in the winter.

We love this plant! It mats into a specimen in a short time. Flowers several times a year and we call it the "baboon butt" flower for obvious (to me :) reasons. This is a great orchid for vivariums and small growing spaces!

Well-established, near-blooming seedlings in 4" net pots. The newest leaf on these plants is 8-10" long. These plants should bloom next year if they are taken care of. This plant produces beautiful long (18+"), fleshy, folded, pendant blue-green leaves. The large flowers have a white lip and yellow-green petals. There are usually 3-5 flowers per stem and they are fragrant (citrus/jasmine smell), especially at night. Usually flowers anytime a leaf matures, which can happen multiple times a year. The mother plant was collected in Nicaragua in 1971 (it still has the original tag!) and is a prolific flowerer!This plant needs to be hung in a basket or mounted because of its pendant growth habit. The buyer will need to provide a hanger or a perch where the pendant leaves can hang down.Care: Prefers cool-intermediate temps and bright indirect light. Regular watering and light feeding year-round, with a short dry period in between waterings.
