This is a beautiful plant with beautiful flowers! The flowers are formed on a pendant spike so it's best to plant this species in a hanging basket or pot to fully enjoy the flowers. The large, long-lasting flowers are approx 2.5-3" across. Petals are a very light rosy pink and the lip is brick red/cinnamon and the flowers are sweetly fragrant. Each spike produces 3-6 flowers successively. Each new flower blooms just as its predecessor is wilting. More mature plants will produce many flower spikes at the same time. It's a non-stop show for months!Care: Cool to hot temps, indirect-bright indirect light, regular year-round watering, and light feeding. The warmer the growing conditions, the more often it should be watered.

Dendrobium anceps is an interesting epiphytic species native to Southeast Asia, including regions like Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.The leaves are generally lance-shaped to narrowly elliptic and are somewhat fleshy. They typically have a smooth, shiny surface and a dark green color. The leaves are arranged alternately along the stem. Overall, the leaves contribute to the plant's interesting appearance even when it isn’t in bloom. 3/4` to 1` flowers are pale greenish yellow with a red spotted lip; blooms successively winter-spring.
Care: Bright indirect light, regular watering and light feeding spring-fall and benefits from a period of cooler temperatures and reduced watering in the winter months to mimic its natural seasonal variations.

New canes grow upright at first but them become pendant or semi-pendant as they mature. Flowers on mature leafless canes in the spring. The fragrant, waxy flowers last longer if the plant remains relatively dry during the bloom cycle.

This is a great little plant, suitable for a beginner but cute enough that it’s a great plant for any collector! It has a rambling habit that makes it well suited for a hanging basket or pot. It makes for a superb specimen plant due to its small stature and its tendency to produce large flushes of beautiful, large (for the size of the plant), fragrant flowers all at once. The flowers have bubble gum pink sepals and petals and a fimbriated white lip with a large central orange disc. Flowers late winter-spring.
Care: Bright indirect light. Prefers warmer, wet summers and cooler, drier winters. Fertilize regularly when actively growing.
Dendrobium (speciosum x tetragonum) x D tetragonum: Blooming size in 3.25" pot
We remade this beautiful hybrid a couple of years ago and have been very happy with the results. These plants started blooming at a really small size and have remained compact (the new canes are currently 4-6" long). And the stems are square! D. tetragonum (one of the parents) has slender, square stems but these are big blocky square stems.The star-shaped flowers are yellow with beautiful red markings on the sepals, petals, and lip. The number of markings vary from plant to plant. Plus, the flowers are huge for the size of the plant! The first time they flowered each spike had 2 flowers and this time around they had 4 so chances are the flower count will continue to go up as the plants mature. Care: Bright indirect light, moist and warm in the summer, cool and drier in the winter.

This robust and easy-to-grow Dendrobium is a beauty when in bloom! The fragrant flowers develop in clusters along the mature, leafless stems (which can reach 2-3 feet in length). The flowers have pink petals and sepals with an orange-red lip. This species flowers randomly throughout the year. Flowers last 2-5 weeks.
Care: This orchid prefers intermediate to warm temperatures, bright indirect light, and good air circulation. Watering and light feeding year-round, but allow the pot to dry out slightly between waterings.
Dendrobium Rainbow Dance (D Kurenai x D unicum). Small, well-established blooming size plant in a 3.25" pot.Sturdy, fast-growing, and showy, this plant puts on a real show from February to April with a huge flush of 1.5" purple and white flowers. The lip is white with a little purple blush and vivid purple veins. Flowers last 6-8 weeks!This is a great plant for beginners and veterans alike.Care: Bright indirect light year round. Dendrobium speciosum (Sellon x #10). Well-established, near blooming size seedling in a 6" pot.
Australian Dendrobiums are one of my favorite groups of orchids, and this is the queen of all Dendrobiums! I received a flask of this particular cross several years ago from Wolf Orchids in Australia. It is one of the more compact varieties, so it won't eat up too much space (for a speciosum!).
These plants are super hardy. They can handle light frosts and temperatures over 100°F. They like very bright indirect sunlight. Truly wonderful plants.
If you are looking for a heirloom plant that can be passed down for generations, this is a great choice (I have one that is almost 70 years old)!
