We grow lots of intermediate growing orchids! It's a perfect fit for our coastal Northern California weather. Nighttime temps for these plants range from 55°F-62°F and daytime temps from 75°F-85°F.

    Cattleya Interglossa x Panarica brassavolae

    Well-established blooming size plant in 3.25" pot.   These vigorous, fast-growing hybrids have produced really lovely flowers! Each flower spike produces 2-4, 3" flowers that look almost identical to E. brassavolae except they are bluish-purple. Flowers late summer. Because these plants were raised from seeds and are not mericloned, the flowers will vary slightly from plant to plant. Our hybrids are created from superior plants that we have acquired over the years. We breed for vigor, quality, and size. Care: bright-very bright indirect light, intermediate-warm temps, regular watering and feeding spring-fall. A rest period in the winter is advisable with less water and no food.

    Cattleya Mariae Piae (Cattleya forbesii x C purpurata). Blooming-size plant in a 3.25" pot.All plants available have previously bloomed and currently have at least 1 new growth developingThis hybrid was first registered in 1897 and we liked it so much we brought it back! Using our finest parent plants, this is the result. The beautiful white petals have delicate pink veins and the large, rolled lip starts out white and turns purple with a white margin.  Care: bright indirect light, intermediate-warm temps, regular watering and light feeding spring-fall, and a slightly drier rest period in the winter.

Large crystalline white flowers that sparkle in sunlight and are golden yellow in the throat. Wonderfully fragrant! Flowers repeatedly late winter through late spring.     Large, well-established blooming size division in a 3.25" pot. Flower spikes develop in the fall-winter and carry 1-3 silver quarter-sized creamy yellow flowers.     Coelogyne mooreana ('Brockhurst' FCC/RHS x Jungle collected clone). Two sizes: Well-established blooming size 3 bulb division in a 3.25"pot. Please note: we cut all the top 1/2 of all old leaves off. This prevents the plant from flopping around while new roots anchor it. 2.25" seedling Flower multiple times a year. These plants are somewhat hard to find and we are happy to have them available, if only for a short time! Seedlings are expected to bloom in 12-18 months from blooming.The flowers on these plants are better than 'Brockhurst'  FCC/RHS! Beautiful flower from Vietnam. The crystalline white flowers have an orange throat. Beautiful fragrance! Each spike carries 3-8 flowers. Spring-Fall bloomer.     Coelogyne speciosa

    Well-established blooming size plant in a 3.25" pot. Known as the  Beautiful Coelogyne, this species blooms sequentially with 1 to 3 flowers per spike. The musky scented flowers arise out of the center of a new pseudobulb growth and can bloom at any time of the year but most often in spring and summer. The flowers are about 6 cm in diameter. The lip is white with orange-brown or dark brown spots. The large side lobes of the lip are brown or red and curve up to form a tube that almost completely covers the spine. Care: Cool to hot temps, indirect-bright indirect light, regular year-round watering and light feeding. The warmer the growing conditions, the more often it should be watered.

Spikes will have up to 15 or so flowers on large plants. Very fragrant with a scent similar to narcissus.This plant is a fast grower, with each bulb producing 2 or 3 new bulbs.     Coelogyne xyrekes

    Well-established blooming-size plant in a 4" basket. Flower color, especially in the lip, may vary slightly because these are from seed, not divisions.  This is a beautiful plant with beautiful flowers! The flowers are formed on a pendant spike so it's best to plant this species in a hanging basket or pot to fully enjoy the flowers. The large, long-lasting flowers are approx 2.5-3" across. Petals are a very light rosy pink and the lip is brick red/cinnamon and the flowers are sweetly fragrant. Each spike produces 3-6 flowers successively. Each new flower blooms just as its predecessor is wilting. More mature plants will produce many flower spikes at the same time. It's a non-stop show for months!Care: Cool to hot temps, indirect-bright indirect light, regular year-round watering, and light feeding.     Well-established size plant in a 3.25" pot. One of our newest hybrids! We have been impressed with this cross's vigor and ability to flower at a very young age. These plants will stay compact and relatively small (we expect them to max out at about a foot tall). Produces 1-3 1" pink flowers at each node on leafless, mature canes. The older, leafless canes produce flowers for several years so the show just keeps getting better! This plant does well mounted, in hanging baskets or in a pot. Care: cool-hot (doesn't mind slightly cooler temps in the winter), bright indirect light, wet spring-fall with regular feeding, and a drier winter rest period.

    Near blooming size plant in a 4" octagonal basket.This is a cute little species Dendrobium! Best grown in hanging baskets or mounted. New canes grow upright at first but them become pendant or semi-pendant as they mature. Flowers on mature leafless canes in the spring. The fragrant, waxy flowers last longer if the plant remains relatively dry during the bloom cycle.  Care: Regular watering and light feeding spring-fall, intermediate to warm temps spring-fall and a cooler (45-55), much drier rest period in the winter. Plants must be subjected to a cool period in the winter to flower their best in the spring.
