Mature, mounted blooming size plants. We imported these plants 6 months ago but held on to them to make sure the plants were healthy and strong (they are!).Small is an understatement when describing this species! Commonly called the millipede orchid because of its growth habit. This species hugs its growing surface looking for any crack or crevice to follow. The flowers are nearly identical to S fragrans (but without fragrance) but the sturdy, succulent leaves are about 1/2 the size (1/4" long, 1/8" wide)! The plant tends to branch randomly (these plants are already branching).
Blooms randomly at the nodes all along the plant in the spring-early summer. The tiny flower spikes hold up to 6 long lasting, brilliant pinkish-purple flowers.Great for terrariums!Care: Intermediate-warm temps, bright indirect light, daily light misting, light fertilizer 2x/month when growing new roots or leaves.
Well established, near blooming size seedlings in a 2.25" pot. These plants are 1-2 years from blooming and should be repotted into baskets next spring.
This should be an interesting cross and it will be fragrant!
Care: Intermediate to warm temps, regular watering, and light fertilizer throughout the year and prefers a moderately shady spot.

1 gallon bag (approx. 12 ounces) of Tillandsia usneoides. Extremely healthy, greenhouse-grown Spanish Moss. Greenhouse-grown Spanish Moss generally does better in captivity when compared to wild-collected plants. It is generally more healthy with less dead material mixed in and you don't have to worry about hitchhiking creepy crawlies!Care: Because of its small size and fine texture, T. usneoides needs to be watered more often than other Tillandsia, usually 1-3x's a week depending on weather and season. Spritz with a very weak fertilizer solution 1x/month. Prefers temps from the mid 50's at night up the 90's during the day with high humidity and a breezy environment. Can take full sun but prefers mottled sunlight- bright indirect light.

Each plant is the size of a quarter with tightly overlapping leaves that grow in a single plane to produce what looks like a tiny palm frond. The plants are connected with a 1” long rhizome to form a branching string of plants.
And it has flowers that are as large as the plant itself! Beautiful light pink, crystalline flowers with markings that differ from plant to plant. Flowers for us randomly throughout the year with long-lasting flowers. 2-4 flowers per spike.
These plants need little to no potting media. We throw them in empty baskets, string them through our “wire walls” where we hang our mounted plants, etc. Great for mounting, the parent species both grow on twigs in the wild. Usually, one plant has what looks like a precarious hold on a tiny branch and the rest of the plants are dangling in free space!
Care: These plants like bright-very bright light and intermediate to hot temps. Water often spring-fall and let them dry out between waterings in the winter.
